David Hammons:
Body Prints
Perfect-bound with exposed book board cover revealing type on spine.
This publication focuses on David Hammon’s body prints, a distinct body of pivotal work where the artist used his body as a drawing tool to create innovative, performative means of image making. The design of the book draws its forms from Hammon’s technique of transferring pigment from his body to paper, and the reflective nature of his artistic practices. The book also features first hand experiences of other artists who were present as Hammons was creating this body of work, even participating in the process themselves.
